Our Nourishing Skin Cream is made in Norfolk using only certified organic ingredients: grass-fed beef tallow, castor oil, cocoa butter, vanilla CO₂ extract and frankincense essential oil.

We choose certified organic raw ingredients and keep the supporting supplier documentation.

That's why our Nourishing Skin Cream is made with just five carefully selected ingredients, each chosen for a reason.

Organic Grass-Fed Tallow

The heart of our formula.


Tallow is the foundation of Tallow & Cacao.

Traditionally used for generations, tallow contains naturally occurring fatty acids and skin-conditioning lipids that make it particularly suited to rich, nourishing skincare.

We use organic grass-fed tallow because we wanted the main ingredient in our cream to be simple, traditional and deeply moisturising.

It gives our cream its rich feel and helps leave the skin feeling soft, conditioned and protected from dryness.

Organic Cocoa Butter

Rich, protective moisture.

Cocoa butter is naturally rich and beautifully emollient.

We combine it with tallow because it helps create the smooth, buttery texture of our cream while helping to soften and moisturise the skin.

It also gives Tallow & Cacao some of its natural richness without relying on synthetic thickeners or unnecessary fillers.

Organic Castor Oil

For softness and smooth application.

Castor oil brings a different quality to the formula.

It helps our cream glide smoothly across the skin and provides additional conditioning without taking away from the richness of the tallow and cocoa butter.

We use it to help create that soft, smooth finish you feel when applying Tallow & Cacao.

Organic Vanilla CO₂ Extract

Warm, subtle and naturally luxurious.

We wanted Tallow & Cacao to smell beautiful without overwhelming the formula with artificial fragrance.

That's why we chose Vanilla CO₂ Extract.

It provides a warm, soft vanilla character that works naturally alongside cocoa butter and tallow, helping give the cream its distinctive comforting scent.

CO₂ extraction is also a highly concentrated way of capturing many of the aromatic compounds naturally present in vanilla.

Why we use it:

  • Provides our warm vanilla aroma

  • Complements the natural cocoa scent

  • Allows us to avoid artificial fragrance

  • A little goes a very long way

Organic Frankincense Essential Oil

The finishing touch.

Frankincense adds a warm, earthy depth to our formula.

We chose it because its distinctive aromatic character balances beautifully with vanilla and cocoa, creating a subtle scent that feels natural rather than heavily perfumed.

Only a small amount is needed to give Tallow & Cacao its finishing aromatic note.

Why only five ingredients?

Because we don't believe more automatically means better.

Every ingredient in Tallow & Cacao has a purpose.

There are no ingredients included simply to make the ingredient list look more impressive.

We wanted to create the kind of skincare we had been making for our own family and friends — simple, carefully considered and made using ingredients we genuinely wanted to use ourselves.
