These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit our website, purchase products from us or otherwise use our online store.

By placing an order through our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions together with our Privacy Policy and Delivery & Returns Policy.

Tallow & Cacao produces cosmetic skincare products made using carefully selected ingredients.

We make every reasonable effort to ensure product descriptions, photographs, ingredients, sizes and other information shown on our website are accurate.

However, because we work with naturally derived ingredients, there may occasionally be slight differences between batches, including variations in:

  • Colour

  • Texture

  • Consistency

  • Natural aroma

  • Appearance

These natural variations do not necessarily indicate that a product is faulty.

3. Cosmetic Product Information

Tallow & Cacao products are cosmetic skincare products.

They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition.

4. Ingredients and Allergies

The ingredients used in each product are displayed on the relevant product page and/or product packaging.

It is your responsibility to review the ingredient list before using a product, particularly if you have known allergies or sensitivities.

Everyone's skin is different.

We recommend carrying out a patch test before first use.

If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs, discontinue use immediately.

5. Product Use

Tallow & Cacao skincare products are for external use only unless specifically stated otherwise.

Avoid contact with the eyes and keep products out of reach of children.

6. Placing an Order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products contained in your order.

After placing an order, you should receive an electronic confirmation acknowledging that we have received it.

Receipt of an order acknowledgement does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including where:

  • A product is unavailable

  • Payment cannot be authorised

  • We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse

  • There has been an obvious pricing or product-description error

  • We cannot deliver to the address provided

  • The order breaches these Terms & Conditions

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.

Unless we tell you otherwise, the contract between you and Tallow & Cacao is formed when we confirm that your order has been accepted or dispatched.

Each order constitutes a separate contract between you and us.

8. Prices

All prices displayed on our website are shown in Pounds Sterling (£) unless otherwise stated.

Any applicable taxes will be handled as required by law.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown before you complete your order.

We may change our prices at any time, but a price change will not normally affect an order we have already accepted.

9. Pricing Errors

We take reasonable care to ensure prices shown on our website are correct.

Occasionally, an obvious pricing error may occur.

If we discover an obvious error before accepting or dispatching your order, we may contact you and give you the option of purchasing the product at the correct price or cancelling the order.

If an affected order is cancelled after payment has been taken, you will receive a refund.

Payment must be made using one of the payment methods available through our Shopify checkout.

Payment providers may carry out security and fraud-prevention checks before authorising your transaction.

We will not intentionally dispatch an order where the required payment has not been successfully authorised.

11. Delivery

We currently deliver to the locations shown as available during checkout.

12. Delivery Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to deliver orders within the estimated delivery period.

Occasionally, delivery may be delayed because of events outside our reasonable control.

If there is a significant problem with your delivery, please contact us and we will investigate it.

Nothing in these Terms affects any delivery rights you have under applicable consumer law.

13. Changing Your Mind

For eligible online purchases, you normally have 14 days from receiving your goods to tell us that you wish to cancel your order.

14. IMPORTANT – Hygiene Seal and Returns

Because Tallow & Cacao products are skincare products that come into direct contact with the skin, hygiene and product safety are extremely important.

Once the protective hygiene seal on a product has been broken, removed or otherwise opened, we cannot accept that product back as a change-of-mind return.

To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the product must be:

  • Unused

  • Unopened

  • In its original packaging

  • In a condition suitable for resale

  • With the protective hygiene seal completely intact

Once the hygiene seal has been broken or removed, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return.

This restriction does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, damaged, defective, not as described or incorrectly supplied.

15. Returning an Unopened Product

If you wish to return an eligible unopened product, please contact us before sending it back.

Unless the product is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning a change-of-mind return.

We recommend obtaining proof of postage.

16. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

We want every Tallow & Cacao order to arrive as it should.

If a product arrives:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged

  • Defective

  • Incorrect

  • Not as described

please contact us as soon as possible.

Where possible, provide your order number and photographs showing the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may provide an appropriate replacement, refund or other remedy.

The broken hygiene-seal rule does not remove your legal rights where there is genuinely something wrong with the product.

17. Refunds

Eligible refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase unless another method is agreed or required.

Where an online order is validly cancelled, any refund due will be processed in accordance with applicable consumer law and our Delivery & Returns Policy.

18. Promotions and Discount Codes

From time to time, we may offer:

  • Introductory offers

  • Bundles

  • Competitions

  • Limited-time offers

Unless otherwise stated, promotions cannot normally be combined with another offer.

Your contract for the purchase of Tallow & Coco products is with Tallow & Cacao, not Shopify.

Shopify and connected payment or service providers may process certain information as explained in our Privacy Policy.
